About Classes

● Due to the number of seats and instructors, we may not be able to accept your reservation due to full capacity.
If your ticket is due to expire or your last visit date is approaching, please make your reservation as soon as possible.
● Although we have a curriculum, we will teach you according to your wishes/goals. We will teach you the basic techniques of the potter’s wheel and hand-building first.
You can freely decide what you want to create from there.
● The studio operates on a self-service basis. Please retrieve your own clay and tools.
In addition, please start cleaning up 15 minutes before the end of the class and remove any used and leftover clay as well as return everything to its original place.

Management of Your Work

● Projects must be made in the studio. Unfired work may not be taken home.
● Please pack your fired work yourself and take it home. You can use the classroom’s packaging materials when taking it home.
● Members may not request instructors to create or complete their work. We do not offer trimming, glazing, or shipping services on your behalf. Please consult the classroom staff if you have any questions.
● If you’re returning to your home country and have a final visit date, please plan your production schedule accordingly so your pieces are completed on time.
We suggest you plan by working backwards from the date of your departure to schedule your firings.
We cannot complete any work for you so please consult with an instructor.
● We cannot guarantee specific pickup dates for finished works. Due to the nature of the ceramic material, we cannot guarantee that the piece will be fired.
For guaranteed results, an express firing service is available for an additional fee, so please feel free to contact us.
● We will do our best to fire your piece, but due to the nature of the material, ceramics may crack or warp during the drying and firing process.
In addition, the piece will shrink by about 10% when completed. Please note that we do not refund the firing fee or class fee even if the piece does not turn out as you expected.
● There are many types of clay for ceramics, and some of them may affect other works in the kiln during firing as it may melt in different temperatures.
In general, we do not accept works made outside of the class.

Regarding Reservation Cancellations

● You may cancel your reservation up to one hour before the start time of your scheduled class.
● Once it is within one hour of the class start time (cancellation deadline), cancellations cannot be made, and your ticket will be used regardless of whether you attend.
● Please note that we cannot process cancellations if you call or email us after the cancellation deadline or if you make a request in person at the store.
● We are also unable to reschedule the time or date of your reservation after the cancellation deadline has passed.
● If you do not come to the class without canceling and your ticket is used, we are unable to provide ticket replacements or refunds. Thank you for your understanding in advance.

Taking Your Pieces Home

Condition of the work Greenware Bisque Glazed Greenware Bisque
Storage Period 1 month 3 months 3 months

● The studio will not notify you when your work is ready, so please take it home at your earliest convenience.
Please note that if you do not take it home for more than three months, it may be discarded.
● If a greenware piece is left for more than 1 month before trimming, it may dry and become unworkable so please note that they will be discarded.
● Due to limited space, bisqued or glazed works left over 3 months may also be discarded without refund.
● We will usually notify you before discarding your work. However, if more than a week passes after contact and we have not heard back, the studio will bear no responsibility.
Please manage your own production schedule and remember the works you made.

Regarding Payments

Purchasing Tickets

● Please select and purchase the ticket with your desired number of sessions and validity period through the STORES app.
● Normally, tickets are expected to be purchased using the credit card registered in the STORES app.
● If you do not have a credit card or have special circumstances where you would not like to use your credit card, tickets can be purchased at the studio. Please inquire at the studio.

Course and Fees

● Please use all tickets within the validity period. Expired tickets are non-refundable and cannot be used.
● For early withdrawal, refunds will be made minus 20% of the unused ticket value. We recommend that you purchase tickets for the number of sessions you can definitely use.
● Additional class fees during the period of the course you are using/purchased will be for one session of the course you are paying at that time.
For example, if you exceed the class count within your current plan:
○ 3-month plan: 13+ times → ¥3,410 per session
○ 6-month plan: 25+ times → ¥2,860 per session
● Outside of your course period: ¥4,150 per additional session.
● If you cancel or do not visit for over 1 year, you must pay a re-enrollment fee (50% of the registration fee) when rejoining.
● Course fees must be paid in full upfront, by credit card or cash.

Firing Fees

● Firing fees are calculated by volume × ¥1 (except during events).
● After you have finished making your piece, you will be asked to pay the firing fee before bisque firing.
● If a crack or break occurs in your piece during firing, we will essentially compensate you for the firing fee by giving you points (1 yen = 1 point). These points can be used to pay future firings.
● We do not refund the firing fee for pieces that break after firing, but you can carry it over to the firing fee for your next piece.
● Please note that we cannot refund the firing fee in any case where the work breaks after firing due to the customers reasons such as, the glaze has run too far, or the firing did not turn out as expected.
● Refiring for personal reasons (not studio fault) incurs a fee of volume × ¥0.6.

About Express Firing Fee

If you’re in a hurry to complete your piece, we offer an express firing service for an additional fee.
Normally, members` pieces are fired as soon as promptly as possible without requiring an express fee, but depending on the drying condition or kiln schedule, firing may be delayed.
Please note that the firing process involves multiple steps, and sometimes pieces may not be fully completed with one time firing.
By paying the express fee, we will prioritize your piece and make special arrangements to complete it within the requested time.

Each family member will be issued one membership number, which will be linked to one かんたん予約 (Easy Reservation) account.
If a family member joins, we will waive the enrollment fee as a special benefit (only one enrollment fee per family group regardless of the number of family members).
Membership numbers, Easy Reservation accounts, and ticket purchases linked to each account will be managed on an individual basis. Therefore, if multiple people will be attending the studio, please register and purchase tickets for each person attending.
If your family or friends choose to take the one-day trial instead of the introductory curriculum, we will offer a member referral discount for the one-day trial (10% off the course fee).

● After the price revision, points will be generated according to the firing fee as a member benefit.

Earned points can be applied to future firing fees. Please ask a staff member at the time of payment for more information regarding your points.
